Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. You can cancel your SalesTracker Pro subscription any time from the billing settings page, no cancellation fees, no phone calls, no waiting period. Your account keeps full Pro access until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then automatically drops back to the free plan. You can resubscribe whenever you want.
Pro subscriptions immediately grant a large monthly credit balance plus full leaderboard lists, so we don't issue refunds once a subscription is active. The best way to evaluate risk-free is to start on Pro Monthly, explore everything for a billing cycle, and cancel any time before the next charge if it's not a fit. You can also use the free plan's 25 monthly credits and all detection tools to check data quality before you subscribe.
When you cancel, your Pro features stay active until the current billing period ends, you don't lose anything you already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free plan: you keep your search history and account, but full leaderboard lists and unlimited App Detector results go back behind the paywall and your monthly balance drops to 25 credits. Your data is never deleted, so re-subscribing picks up where you left off.
Both plans unlock the same features. The differences are capacity, not functionality: Pro Monthly is $14.9/month with 3,000 credits each month and lets you watch up to 100 stores, while Pro Annual is $149.9/year with 36,000 credits granted upfront and lets you watch up to 500 stores, giving you a lower yearly cost than paying monthly. If you plan to use SalesTracker for more than a few months, Annual is the better value.
The free plan includes 25 monthly credits to spend on live Shopify detections (1 credit each) and store revenue-snapshot reveals (3 credits each), plus traffic analytics, WHOIS data, store detail pages, a watchlist of up to 10 stores, and a free preview of each leaderboard, top 10 on Traffic and top 3 on Revenue. Pro unlocks 3,000 monthly credits on Monthly or 36,000 upfront credits on Annual, the complete traffic and revenue leaderboard lists, unlimited App Detector results, and a larger watchlist (100 stores on Monthly, 500 on Annual). Exact revenue, units, and best-selling products stay credit-gated for everyone, Pro just gives you a much larger balance to research with. Upgrading is a one-click change with no setup.
Yes, SalesTracker handles both. You can upgrade from Pro Monthly to Pro Annual any time through your billing portal, and the system will prorate the unused portion of your current subscription automatically. Downgrading from Annual back to Monthly works the same way. Switching between Free and Pro is instant: cancel to drop to Free, or subscribe to go Pro again whenever you need it.
Shopify doesn't publish store revenue data, so every third-party estimate, including ours, is a model, not ground truth. SalesTracker's AI-powered engine cross-references multiple public signals to produce a monthly revenue estimate that's directionally reliable and best used for comparing stores relative to each other. For the top stores where our model has high confidence, estimates are accurate enough to drive competitor research, partnership decisions, and market sizing.
SalesTracker combines multiple public data sources, Shopify storefront HTML, product listings, traffic signals, domain registration data, and theme metadata, and runs them through an AI-powered analytics engine that cross-references signals to produce each store's profile. We only read what a normal visitor or search engine would see; nothing requires private API keys, merchant credentials, or access to Shopify's internal systems. All data collection respects robots.txt and rate limits.
Free Shopify detectors usually answer one question at a time, "what theme is this?", "is this site on Shopify?" SalesTracker Pro gives you the full picture of an entire Shopify ecosystem in one place: ranked leaderboards by revenue and traffic, per-store revenue snapshots with best-selling products and units, installed apps, theme identification, WHOIS, and monthly-refreshed revenue estimates. It's built for operators doing real competitor research, not one-off curiosity checks.
No, most SalesTracker users don't run a Shopify store of their own. Dropshippers use it to find winning products, agencies use it for client competitive research, investors use it for market sizing, SaaS founders use it to qualify prospects, and Shopify app developers use it to find potential customers. You don't need merchant credentials, a Partner account, or any Shopify login, just enter a domain and we show you the data.
Pro is currently a single-user subscription, one account per paid plan. If your team needs access, each member should subscribe individually so everyone keeps their own search history and billing. We're exploring dedicated team plans for agencies and in-house marketing teams; if that's what you need, contact us from your signed-in account and we'll add you to the early-access list.
No. SalesTracker fetches the same public pages a normal visitor or search engine would, there's nothing in our request pattern that identifies you or flags the lookup as unusual, and merchants have no way to tell a SalesTracker query apart from a regular page view. For quick single-store lookups you can also use our free Shopify Theme Detector, Store Detector, and App Detector, same zero-fingerprint approach.
