Our AI-powered analytics engine combines publicly available data from multiple sources and cross-references the signals to assign each tracked Shopify store an estimated monthly revenue figure. The list is then sorted from highest to lowest and refreshed monthly.

Estimates are directional, they are meant for relative comparison and spotting order-of-magnitude differences, not for replacing a store's own Shopify Analytics or audited financials. For the top of the list the numbers are particularly useful as relative benchmarks, because the gap between #1 and #50 is much larger than the uncertainty of any single estimate.

The leaderboard refreshes on a monthly cycle. Each snapshot reflects the current month's revenue estimates, so the top of the list moves as stores gain, lose, or shift position month over month.

A store appears in the top rankings when its estimated monthly revenue is among the highest in our tracked set. There is no hard threshold, the leaderboard is a pure ranking of every tracked store sorted from highest to lowest estimated monthly revenue.

Free users can view the leaderboard with store names, traffic, and basic details. Full revenue figures are part of the Pro subscription. Everyone, free or Pro, sees the same store ordering, so the relative ranking is never gated.

SalesTracker tracks 550K+ Shopify stores and produces revenue estimates for the subset where our AI-powered pipeline can generate a confident figure, typically 5 to 10 percent of all stores. The top revenue leaderboard ranks that subset from highest to lowest.

A few reasons: the store may not be on Shopify (common with household brands that have migrated), it may be too new to have a full monthly snapshot, or it may expose very little public data for our pipeline to confidently estimate. Coverage improves every refresh cycle as we add stores.

No. The Over $1000 leaderboard applies a hard revenue floor and re-ranks within that filtered subset. The Top revenue leaderboard is unfiltered, it ranks every tracked store, including those well below $1,000/month. Use Top for "biggest stores overall"; use Over $1000 for "profitable stores only".

No. Browsing the leaderboard does not contact the listed merchants or send any signal to them. Revenue estimation happens on our pipeline using publicly available data, so individual researchers cannot be linked to lookups from a merchant's perspective.
