How to Use the Shopify Traffic Checker
How to use the Shopify Traffic Checker to estimate any store's monthly visits, rankings, and traffic sources, free with no account.
The Shopify Traffic Checker estimates how much traffic a store gets, along with its rankings and where its visits come from. It is the one SalesTracker tool that runs anonymously, so you can analyze any Shopify store's traffic with no account and no credit.
This guide shows you how to run a lookup, then how to read the store profile it returns.
How to check Shopify store traffic
The flow is a single step to run and a profile to read. Point the checker at a domain, click Analyze, and you land on that store's profile with a full Traffic Overview.
Paste a store domain and click Analyze
Open the Shopify Traffic Checker, type a store domain into the input (for example gymshark.com), and click Analyze. You do not need to sign in. The sample "What you'll see" card previews the kind of metrics the lookup returns before you run it.

Read the store profile header
The lookup opens the store's profile page. The header shows three rankings: Global Rank, Country Rank, and Category Rank. A star "Watch" button lets you save the store to your Watchlist so you can return to it later.
Review the Traffic Overview
Scroll to the Traffic Overview to see the estimated traffic metrics, the visits-over-time chart, and the traffic-sources donut. Note the data-snapshot month (for example 2026-04) so you know how fresh the figures are.

Compare, do not copy
Run two or three competitors through the checker in a row and line up their estimated monthly visits side by side. The figures are directional, so they are far more useful for ranking stores against each other than for reading any single store's exact number.
What the traffic metrics mean
The Traffic Overview groups its numbers into engagement metrics and domain facts. Every visit, duration, and rate figure is estimated, built from AI-powered analysis of multiple public data sources, so treat them as directional rather than as a store's real internal analytics.
- Estimated total monthly visits (for example 1.6M): the headline measure of a store's reach.
- Average visit duration (for example 03:18) and pages per visit (for example 4.28): how engaged visitors are once they arrive.
- Bounce rate (for example 37.56%): the share of visits that leave after a single page.
- Domain creation date, expiration date, last-changed date, and domain age: context on how established the store's domain is.
A "Visits over time" chart plots the trend across recent months, and a "Traffic sources" donut splits visits by percentage across Direct, Referral, Mail, Social, and the other channels that send people to the store.
How to read the traffic sources
The traffic-sources donut tells you where a store's audience actually comes from, which is often more revealing than the visit count alone. A store leaning on Direct traffic likely has strong brand recall, while a heavy Social share points to an influencer or paid-social motion. Use the split to understand a competitor's acquisition strategy, not just its size.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to check Shopify store traffic?
The Shopify Traffic Checker runs anonymously: no account, no credit, no sign-in. It is the only SalesTracker tool that works fully signed out. You paste a store domain, click Analyze, and read the resulting profile straight away.
How accurate is the Shopify Traffic Checker?
The Shopify Traffic Checker reports estimates, built from AI-powered analysis of multiple public data sources. The figures are directional, meant for comparing stores and spotting trends, not for matching a store's own internal analytics exactly.
What traffic metrics does the store profile show?
A SalesTracker store profile shows estimated total monthly visits, average visit duration, pages per visit, bounce rate, and domain age, plus Global, Country, and Category rankings. A visits-over-time chart and a traffic-sources donut round out the Traffic Overview.
How do I estimate a Shopify competitor's traffic?
To estimate a competitor's Shopify store traffic, paste its domain into the Traffic Checker and click Analyze. Read its estimated monthly visits and traffic-source split, then run your other competitors the same way to compare their reach side by side.
